When asked we are what we are looking for when taking on a Contemporary artist to represent, a name which instantly springs to mind as our gold standard is David Studwell.  This is because David Studwell as both a person and an artist embodies all that is most wanted by a gallerist. Probably the most rewarding experience our gallery had this year was the honour to place Lauren Bakers’s Galaxy Explosion series into the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s permanent art collection, where they will be now viewed by millions of people for years to come. Posted by The Art Hound on

We're only just recovered from our first Central Cambridge 'Take Over'. Friday May 11th saw The Art Hound Team spread the Pop Art vibe to Benets' cafe on the famous King's Parade in the middle of Cambridge. As we hung works by Warhol and Robert Indiana, overlooking the stately King's College Chapel resulting in a fascinating juxtaposition, we pondered why many Cambridge people, living so close to London, seemed to often revel in a conservative approach to the arts, expressing amazement over the genres of work we stock. But our instinct that Cambridge needed a gallery with high end, cutting...
