For our third collaboration with the West London's legendary arts venue Riverside Studios we present Caged. This heavily curated exhibition is inspired by the new smash hit musical coming into the theatre from LA - 'Cages'. The contemporary pop opera is a gothic romance set in the future, where emotions have been banned and hearts are trapped in cages.
Tim Burton's romances and American Horror Story meets Blade Runner with contemporary Pop music and electro beats!
Our top tier cutting edge Contemporary artists have been hand picked to respond to these dystopian vibes in serious style by creating a collection of artwork for on public display for sale at Riverside Studios.
Some standout pieces to look out for will include a life like beating human heart lenticular artwork by the superstar light artist Lauren Baker. The insanely talented multidisciplinary artist Naomi Wallens will present a futuristic hand made neon flower painting. Punk Rock Legend Mark Illuminati teams up with Amy Winehouse' Tattoo artist Henry Hate to create a custom neon monkey installation.
Top international art director Simon Freeborough presents darkly beautiful silkscreens featuring barbed wire and tattooed flowers. The ultra cool Mark Petty presents a selection of intricate multilayered glass silkscreens with skulls and sharks. Lots more to be confirmed.
Suffice to say, these art works will dark, broody, and sexy as hell.
