Here at the Art Hound, the decade of Brit pop and Grunge never really went away, but this summer we’re going back to the years of Oasis versus Blur, Take That and Spice girls mania, and Grunge rock killing off Hair metal. In our Cambridge gallery we’ll be showcasing brand new works by our artists inspired by their music and pop culture experiences in the 1990s, alongside iconic original film posters and memorabilia of the decade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHighlights include Scarlet Page’s brand new Geoff Buckley limited edition photograph, Street artist Pegasus tributes to Madonna \u0026amp; the Spice Girls and Lauren Baker’s dramatic work inspired by the club and dance scenes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCollector favourite Mark Petty has created intricate glass artwork inspired by his clubbing days alongside Dj and club culture icons Wyldheart and Wright who show their new 90's inspired urban artworks. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe also prresent a collection or rare and iconic film posters and production stills from some of the definitive films of the era for sale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExpect USA street art, experimental mixed media pieces, exclusive screen prints and much more by both established and up and coming artists, each with their own tale to tell. \u003cbr\u003eWe’ll be documenting the inspiration behind each artwork, with the stories of our artist’s 90’s lives and fandoms, alongside curated playlists - made to emulate the glory days of MTV Europe! \u003cbr\u003eFilm culture will also feature, with original cinema posters of the films we queued up with our popcorn to see - from Trainspotting to Terminator 2, Goodfellas to Groundhog day. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’re also asking for your contributions - gig and festival ticket stubs, faded disposable camera shots from a club night, music magazine clippings, blu tac stained posters, rare t shirts - as we celebrate pre-internet life and the way we used to access our favourite bands whether it was NSYNC or Nirvana. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe show is also the first exhibition to be back in The Art Hound’s permanent space at Burwash Manor, Cambridge since 2019’s sell out ‘Punk \u0026amp; Printmaking’ show.
