    NATASHA AWUKU

Natasha Awuku is a multi-faceted artist whose creativity spans music, street art and fragrance.

Born in London, Natasha began her creative life with the study of classical piano from the age of five and later became a vocalist and music producer. Having a mixed heritage of a Jamaican and Ghanian background, Natasha produces music that fuses together a blend of soul, house, and Caribbean influences but it was her soulful vocals that got the attention of the music industry. Working as a session singer, Natasha has featured on remixes for various DJ’s and worked as a session singer with some of the industry’s finest artists such as Basement Jaxx.

While continuing her work in the music industry, Natasha was scouted for a catwalk show which led to a fruitful period of fashion modelling. Featuring in magazines such as Pride and The Voice newspaper, she has also been the muse for many up and coming designers. She had her portrait sprayed in October 2020 by the renowned street artist David Speed which is on public display by Shoreditch High Street station.

A longstanding love of graffiti and street art drew Natasha into street art culture and she took to spraying walls as an expressive outlet. Besides working solo, Natasha has also worked alongside artist Joel Bergner to raise awareness for charities and environmental issues. Being raised in East London, Natasha draws from the area’s rich history and urban culture with a surrealist influence. Her art can be widely seen across the streets of London.

Natasha won the inaugural Art Of Energy Award competition in 2021, whereby her art work was commissioned Centre for Energy Ethics and exhibited at The University of St Andrews.

The Art Hound Gallery are delighted to present for sale Natasha's first exclusive collection of original paintings and signed numbered limited edition prints.
