The Art Hound are delighted to be working with our favourite Pop Street Artist on his latest incredible project! Pegasus' latest solo show is a visual exploration of a legendary movement and event - the Stonewall Riots on June 28th, New York 1969. Dark Side of the Rainbow discovers the untold stories and characters of that infamous night through Pegasus' iconic Pop style and street art. Exclusive new works, canvases, neons and installations will all be on display.

Launching at Moniker in October 2019, the world’s most cutting edge urban and contemporary art fair, will be new exclusive pieces by Simon Freeborough, former Creative director of the NME, Terry Pastor, the original artist behind David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory, and David Studwell, who has recently collaborated with Elton John and iconic photographer Terry O’Neill. Expect Pop Art and Pop Culture on a large scale, all in the place the Art Hound began back in 2012 - London’s King’s Road.

‘Diamond Daydream’ by Terry Pastor, a brand new crystal encrusted version of his alternative original artwork for David Bowie’s 1971 Hunky Dory album. The image shows a rare portrait of Bowie that was very nearly the album cover.

The Art Hound Gallery are proud to present a new immersive exhibition chronicling the art, music and attitude of the punk movement through print making.
From photo copied cut and paste fanzines, to 7 inch single covers hand screen printed in basements, the visuals of punk were created by musicians and artists pushing the boundaries with print. The underground DIY print ethos of the scene created infamous icons such as the Misfits’ Skull and The Sex Pistols safety pinned Queen - once banned and feared, these images emblazon merchandise world wide today and have come to represent the rebellion of a generation.
Neat, Neat, Neat will explore the print work of punk from the 1970s to the present day. Featured artists will include Jamie Reid, the Sex Pistols artist who originated the iconic cut up text and ripped up flags associated with UK punk, Shepard Fairey, America’s biggest street artist and Jimmy Cauty, one of the masterminds behind Art Punk band The KLF. Alongside there will be a Rock N’ Roll selection of brand new works from the Art Hound’s top Contemporary Artists created just for the show, influenced by the people, the music and the attitude.
The list of artists creating exclusive works just for the show include; Terry Pastor (David Bowie’s original LP cover artist), Simon Freeborough (former Creative Director of the NME), David Studwell (Contemporary Pop Artist whose collectors include Kate Moss and Nile Rodgers), Clare Wardman and Iain Robertson (top Contemporary Abstract artists, whose work has featured at The Tate) and up and coming urban artists and print makers such as Chris Bourke, Alex Bucklee and Charlotte Cooper. Also featured will be neon light art by major international artist Lauren Baker. Neat, Neat, Neat will also see the introduction of underground all female urban art collective Channel 138 to the gallery.
The show will also feature rare original posters from the 70’s punk scene, original film and music chronicling punk both now and then, and some of the stories of Cambridge’s incredible punk past - what exactly happened on the 24th November 1979 between The Damned and The Misfits - two of punks biggest bands - in Cambridge City Centre?

‘The Immensity of the Universe’
Solo Show at Moniker Art Fair, London 2018 - 4th October to 7th October 2018
Look at the immensity of the Universe and you will see that freedom is a state of mind... Humans and galaxies share 97% of the same kind of atoms. Our bodies are made of remnants of stars and massive explosions in galaxies. Astronomers have proved that quite simply... we are made of stardust. And in summary, freedom is a state of mind.
(Lauren Baker, August 2018)
In her latest series of works, Lauren Baker has drawn inspiration from NASA’s famous Hubble telescope. When Hubble focused in on a seemingly unremarkable area of deep space; 100 billion new galaxies were discovered, revealing the true nature of The Immensity of the Universe. Lauren Baker’s latest light art creations are inspired by these mind expanding discoveries, inviting us to reflect upon the complexity and endless possibilities of the universe.
The Art Hound Gallery are proud to present Lauren Baker’s most experimental and explosive exhi- bition to date. ‘The Immensity of The Universe’ will be a full sensorial experience, cloaking the visi- tor in walls of stardust and crystals. The show will feature several new large scale Light Art installa- tions: including “The Frequency of the Sun”, which allows the viewer to experience ever changing waves of colour and the actual sound frequency of the Sun. In her newest dynamic works, Lauren Baker’s series of “Explosion Art” explores the chemical processes which create the Universe. These amazing works are created physically with titanium, blackpowder fireballs and high octane pyrotechnics, leaving a visual impact of the explosion as part of the artwork. These works will be released worldwide as a new series at Moniker Art Fair 2018.
