Alevtina Caravona
Alevtina Caravona is a Contemporary London based artist.
Having grown up in Moscow and Ukraine, Alevtina moved to the UK at a young age to follow an illustrious career as a fashion model and stylist. She trained at the University of Marangoni with a degree in Arts and Fashion Styling with a focus on graphic design and art history. She then studied painting at Heatherley School of Fine Arts, in Chelsea, London.
Alevtina's work is heavily influenced by the Old Masters, beginning with sketches and resulting in fine and detailed paintings in the Renaissance style, but with contemporary subject matter and Pop culture influences and subjects.
Her elaborate finished paintings often incorporate many layers and mixed media techniques including the use of crystals, gems, gold and silver leaf and neon.
The end result is a beautiful mash up of Religious Iconography, Renaissance style painting and Pop culture.
