ARNA MILLER

American Contemporary Artist and Illustrator based in Denver, Colorado. Miller's work is inspired by Vintage Americana and ephemera, turn of the century posters and adverts, cigarette cards and matchbooks, combined with a unique surrealism. The colours and intricate detail suggest a nostalgia, with a narrative of long forgotten childhood books, both mystical and beguiling to the viewer, combined with a contemporary twist.

The works have a narrative, which is left open to the viewer to interpret, but is led by Miller's guiding rule 'Possibly, but not likely'. In homage to the older world they draw inspiration from, each work has a hand made quality - from the hand pulled screen prints, to carefully constructed wooden frames and boxes in which the works are displayed, all created by Miller in her Denver studio.

Miller often collaborates with her artist husband, Ravi Zupa.
