Jane Higginbottom

Jane Higginbottom is a contemporary artist living and working in South London, with her studio in Camberwell. Working in a wide variety of media with an interest in low impact materials and processes, Jane produces sculpture, screen prints and etchings that are themed around organic forms. Much of her work focuses on the environment, time and place, and evolution and ecology. Her sculptural forms are inspired by items found in nature - both organic and non-organic - which become abstracted shapes in her carving.

Jane studied Fine Art at Camberwell College of Arts, one of the foremost art and design institutions in the UK, recently completing her MA there. In 2016 she became a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and was shortlisted for the Brian Mercer award. She has exhibited nationally and internationally.
